Meet The Browns Episode 10 - Meet The Future
Russell and Cora continue to date. After Russell sends Cora a sweet gift the ladies in the house predict that Cora will soon move away with Russell, leaving Mr. Brown alone. As a result, Mr. Brown begins forming a negative attitude toward Russell.
Brianna and her brother have been asked to go live with a wealthy family that have a beautiful house. Carmen is really struck by this offer because she just started bonding with the foster kids. Carmen expresses her interest in adopting the kids; she doesn’t want to let them go.
Cora and Russell attempt to have an intimate kiss at the end of their date but are interrupted on the porch by Mr. Brown, who then proceeds to interrogate them on their date. He dismisses Cora and then demands that Russell explain his intentions for Cora. As usual, Mr. Brown is in top form with word mispronunciations and jumping to conclusions! Mr. Brown then ups the ante by telling Russell an outrageous tale about having to fight Medea if he decides to marry Cora.
Mr. Brown eventually confesses to Cora that he doesn’t want her to leave him; he’s afraid she’ll forget him. By the time they end this conversation and look around, Russell has left.
The foster kids (Joaquin and Brianna) explain that they’d like to stay with Will and Sasha Brown. Unfortunately, Carmen Martinez, their social worker, has to take them away. Later, at the end of the show, Will turns to Sasha, takes her hand, and says “come on, let’s go get our kids.” Sweet!

Meet The Browns Episode 9 - Meet The Truth
In this episode, Brianna is suspended from school for fighting. Turns out she was trying to defend her brother. When initially asked about the incident she’s quite defensive. Sasha attempts to reach her by probing Brianna about why she’s so disrespectful and angry. Turns out, Brianna was abused by her mother’s boyfriend; Brianna’s mother never believed her which caused a rift between mother and daughter.
Two college frat boys from Gappa Epsilon Epsilon Kappa (GEEK) visit Mr. Brown. They attempt to steal a painting of Russell’s father while he’s not looking but fortunately, their frat guide, Russell, catches them and makes them return the item. For payment for their indiscretions, Russell orders the frat boys to do odd chores for Mr. Brown.
Russell returns and asks Cora out on a date. Because of the “makeover” she receives from some of the ladies in the house Russel is somewhat taken aback at her appearance but, because he’s such a great guy, he takes her on a date and ends up really liking her!
After Brianna opens up to Carmen they begin forging a trusting relationship.

Meet The Browns - What NOT To Wear
I love that TV show “What Not to Wear.” You know the premise right?
“A fashion victim gets nominated by friends or family. If accepted, the person is secretly followed for 2 weeks by a camera crew. At the end of the 2 weeks the hosts of the show visit the unwary person and offers them $5,000 to go to New York to buy a brand new wardrobe. But there’s a catch of course: the person has to first give up several items from their current wardrobe and accept criticism (which can sometimes be harsh) about their fashion style. Their buying spree in New York is also filmed by a camera crew.”
Now, imagine if you can, what that show would be like if Mr. Leroy Brown was one of their fashion victims. Can’t you see him trying to explain his wardrobe? He’d probably end up convincing them that his style represented the latest in au couture!
One of the reasons I tune in to watch “Meet The Browns on TV” each week is to see what Mr. Brown will be wearing. Here are some of his fashion faux pas from the show and from his appearances on House of Payne:

Tamela Mann (who’s married to David Mann “Mr. Brown” in real life) began her career by singing in the church choir. After honing her singing talents over the years she got a big break when she was chosen to join the gospel group Kirk Franklin and the Family.
